Outdoor Globe Light

Outdoor lighting comes in many different shapes, sizes and prices. Outdoor globe lights are just one other way how you can light your home exterior. Globe lights are very versatile in design and use, you can use them to increase your ambiance and create amazing landscape designs, but you can also use globe post lights or lamp post globes to illuminate your surrounding properly.

There will always be the never ending choice and debate on what lighting source to use. Solar lighting and low voltage lighting are both very good options but they have both their pros and cons of using. Let's first have a look how outdoor globe lights can really be of value in your garden if you want to create amazing designs.

Solar Globe Lighting

Solar globe lights your best option if you want to use the lights for decoration purposes. Using solar energy means that you can place hem anywhere in your garden or on your patio as long as the globes (or the solar collector attached to it) is faced to the sun. Some globes will have an integrated solar collector while others have a separate solar collector which you can hide behind a bush as long as it faces the sun.

Some outdoor light globes have the option to change colors while others will emit a soft glowing white light. Both can have amazing effects.

These are just some scenario's you can create with solar lighting globes.

Outdoor Globe String Lights

String lights are also a very versatile way to use as a lighting option. If you use low voltage string lights than you have to connect them to your electricity network and this can have it's disadvantages. For that reason solar string lights are considered a more flexible option but it all depends on how many lights you want to use and how much light they should emit. String lights are mostly used for parties and celebrations, and if that is your situation you want to use them for than solar powered string lights might be an expensive solution.

Let's have a look on differences and things you can do with outdoor globe string lighting:

These options we considered are all intended to use for creating a certain ambiance in your garden/ home exterior but let's not forget that lighting is mostly used for increasing our visionary to see where we are going. In another post we already discussed lamp post globe lighting but in this article I wanted to discuss the use of globe lighting you can use to illuminate your driveway, patio or walkway to name an example.

If you like to spend long hours on your patio after the sun goes down than you will need a properly lit environment. You can choose for ambiance lighting if you already have lighting installed but you can also decide to install globe lights on your umbrella. This is a great way to increase your vision so you can keep reading your book or play games.

As stated, you can also use small lamp post lights to light up your driveway, deck, walkway or patio:

Where can these solar powered white globes be purchased? I’m looking for the globes featured in the first three images. However, I don’t need them to necessarily float in water.
