Outdoor Nautical Lights

There are many different themes you can use to design your house and garden and people just love to theme their homes. Some people like the Arabian look with lots of lanterns, sheer curtains and candle light. Other people like an African theme for their home or outdoor decoration and they will use lots of wooden statues and natural designs. A nautical theme is yet another way to decorate your home and actually it is a quite popular theme to use. If you want to decorate your home in a "nautical" way than you can't go without outdoor nautical lights. On the open sea it can become rough and that is why you need solid lamps which are more durable and have less chance to break. Outdoor Nautical lights are made of strong raw materials like antique brass, oil robbed copper, burnished bronze and brushed nickel. This gives them a rustic or antique look which many people like.

Although we like nautical outdoor lighting fixtures, we are not purchasing the same type of lamps that is used on boats at sea. Nautical lamps meant for commercial purposes are of much better looking designs although the same materials are used. Authentic lamps will hang on the ceiling or on a wall but there are also fixtures available which you can stick in the ground and hang as a lantern. Most nautical lights will use voltage lighting but some are working on solar energy. Off course there are also designs available where you can make use of candles instead of wired lighting.

Outdoor Nautical Solar Lighting

Solar lighting is becoming pretty popular to use with outdoor lighting because they produce enough light to create a nice ambiance, come in nice designs and are very easy to install. This solar lighting lantern comes with a garden stick so you can just hang the lamp on every spot in your garden, but you can also decide to hang it on a wall. It uses solar light to charge it batteries and the light is emitted in the form of a candle which gives it an authentic look. Included are some rechargeable batteries so you can even enjoy your light on cloudy days. It has the option to turn on automatically when it starts to get dark, but you can also operate it with the on and off button.

This is a more typical example of a nautical outdoor light because it resembles the authentic look of nautical lamps. This Nautical solar lantern is made of copper and glass which makes it weatherproof and durable. You can also hang it on a wall but it also comes with a garden top mounted stake. Once the batteries are fully charged by the sun it will emit light for up to 8 hours long. Included are some rechargeable batteries to cover those cloudy days. This awesome design comes with an affordable price and is great to add a nautical ambiance to your garden.

This design is exactly the same as the one above but instead of copper this nautical light fixture is made out of pewter. Because it is made of pewter, the price is much lower compared to the copper solar lantern.

Wired Nautical Lighting Fixtures

This is a very rustic antique looking design made of burnished bronze and clear seeded glass. This design is very flexible to use, on the picture you can see that it looks very well to hang it on a wall but it is also available as post lamp or pendant lighting. This small nautical outdoor lamp comes in burnished bronze but is also available in rubbed bronze, textured black, antique brass and brushed nickel.

Different design but same rustic look and available in the same materials as the fixture above. This picture shows burnished bronze with clear seeded glass. This lamp looks great as  a pendant lighting but is also available as wall lamp or goose necked post lamp. 100 Watt is the maximum amount of wattage you can use for this lamp.

This is a classic looking outdoor nautical lighting lamp and comes in clear glass and brushed nickel. On the picture you can see that it looks nice as a wall lamp but you can also use it as post lamp. The maximum wattage is 60 watt.
