Wall Mounted Solar Lights

Using solar lights has many advantages compared to wired lighting because mainly it is much easier to install and use. Every person can install a lamp that uses solar energy as its primary resource but installing low voltage lighting is a different story. It is still primary used for ambiance lighting or illuminating areas that don't need much light because the main disadvantage is that it does not produce the same light intensity as wired lighting. Because wall mounted lighting is mostly used to illuminate an area properly, wall mounted solar lights are not used that often. However, this does not mean that they don't exist and there are actually quite some good mount solar lights that will produce enough light for you to keep working on your garage, back garden or patio. This article will review some of the lights that are now available on the market.

10 Led rechargeable Solar Wall Mounted light

This is one of the most popular designs because of it's simplicity but more because of the bright light it emits. You can hang the light on your ceiling of your shed or working place. It comes with a 20 foot extension cord so you can place the solar collector faced to the sun. The solar panel is protected with multi crystal glass so you can use it for outdoors.

The light itself comes with a pull chain so you can easily turn it on and off. The light comes with 10 LED's but you can select to use either 5 or 10 LED's. If you use 10 LED's you will have a brighter light but it will only keep working for 2 hours. If you select 5 LED's than you will have less light but it will continue working for 4 hours.

This is what you will get out of the box:
* A solar panel that is hardwired with a 16 ft cable
* A mounting bracket for exterior use that has a swivel feature
* Mounting and interior lighting combine all in one
* Screws
* A L shaped rod that looks like it is not serving any real purpose because of the design of the bracket.

You can not go wrong with this low price but be sure to test the brightness of the light before you fully install the wall mounted solar light. Apparently some of the lights are not as bright as they should be while others are working great.

These LED's don't emit the same bright light as the one reviewed above. It contains 2 LED's that are charged by an integral solar panel so you will have no wiring at all. Once the batteries are charged it will provide you with light up to 6 hours. They are well suites to mount on your wall but you can also use them for fence lighting, fence posts or to make steps visible. With the supplied mounting kit you can mount it on any flat service that you would like.

When you intend to purchase these lights you have to keep in mind that they are actually very small (2" square) and that they only contain 2 LED lights. They will emit light that allow you to see where you are going but it will not illuminate an entire area.

Tricod Stainless Steel Wall Mount Solar Light

These mount solar lights are made of stainless steel which makes them very strong and durable and the design is not bad also. They have an integrated solar panel which means you have no wiring at all. The good thing about it is that they are very easy to install but don't forget that the solar collector has to be faced to the sun. They contain multiple bright LED lights and they will work for more than 8 hours if they are fully charged. Included are some rechargeable Ni CD AA batteries. This type of lighting is well suited for placed where there is no conventional electrical supply available but they are also very useful to use if you don't like to work with wires. Although they emit a bright light, in no means is this comparable to low voltage lighting.
